Welcome to the
Rational Roundtable

About Us

We are advocates for critical thinking, science-based skepticism, and combating disinformation.

Currently, we meet in person bi-monthly to share resources and strategies to promote critical thinking in our own communities. More events are being planned!

We are a subgroup of the Stockton Area Atheists & Freethinkers and welcome all critical thinkers to join us! We encourage the Humanist principles of personal responsibility, humility, and of course, critical thinking.

Writing for Scientific American in 1982, cognitive scientist Douglas Hofstadter said the purpose for Skeptical Inquirer was to “combat nonsense” with articles that require no special expertise, only “curiosity about truth.”
